1. No investment advice
QuantPower is not a stockbroker, and it is not registered with SEBI as an investment adviser or research analyst. It gives no tips, calls or buy or sell advice. Nothing on QuantPower is investment advice, a research recommendation or an offer of any security. This includes strategy templates, guides, calculators, worked examples, messages from our team and answers from Quanty (AI Trade Buddy). Quanty is software too: it helps you make your trading systematic and rule-based, and its answers can be wrong.
You choose your strategies, set their rules and decide when to trade. Their logic is fully visible to you, and you are responsible for the trades they place.
Where this website explains SEBI or exchange rules, it does so in general terms. That is not legal advice, and it does not mean that SEBI, an exchange or a broker has approved QuantPower or any strategy.
2. Market risk
Trading in financial instruments, including equities, futures, options and commodities, and the use of algorithmic trading strategies, involves substantial risk and may not be suitable for all investors. Prices can move quickly against you. With futures and sold options, losses can be larger than the margin you started with. Trade only with money you can afford to lose, and make sure you understand the risks before you start.
SEBI's September 2024 study found that 93% of individual traders in equity F&O lost money over the three years to FY24.
3. Platform performance
Automated trading depends on several systems working together: the computer or server running your strategy, your internet connection, QuantPower, your broker's API and the exchange. Any of them can fail or slow down. Once you switch an algo on, it places orders automatically, without asking you to confirm each order. Orders can be delayed, rejected or filled at a worse price. Orders above the order-rate limit can be rejected, and a strategy cannot trade until you complete your broker's daily login.
QuantPower is in Beta, so features and screens may change and you may meet errors. We do not promise that QuantPower will always be available or free of errors. Watch your strategies while they run. If QuantPower is unavailable, manage your positions in your broker's app or website: your funds, securities and positions always stay with your broker.
4. Strategy performance
Past performance does not indicate future results, and no strategy or model is certain to meet its objective. Results depend on market conditions and on costs such as brokerage, STT, exchange charges, slippage and taxes. A strategy that worked in one market can stop working when volatility, liquidity, lot sizes or margin rules change.
P&L figures in QuantPower, including Verified PNL, show past results only. They are not a forecast or a recommendation, and your broker's contract notes and statements are the final record of your trades.
5. Backtests
A backtest runs your rules on historical data. Its results are hypothetical and do not represent actual trading. They have built-in limits:
- Hindsight: rules can be fitted to past data, so they look better than they will trade.
- Fills: a backtest assumes fills at historical prices that real orders may not get, especially in thin option strikes or fast markets.
- Costs: a backtest may not include all charges, slippage, rejected orders or margin shortfalls.
- Data: historical data can have gaps or errors.
Treat a backtest as a test of your rules, not as a forecast.
6. Paper trading
Paper trading places virtual orders against live prices from your connected broker. No real money is used and no order reaches the exchange. Live orders face slippage, partial fills, rejections and full charges that virtual orders may not show, and decisions feel different with real money at stake. Live results can differ significantly from paper results.
7. Examples and screens on this website
Worked examples use model prices, such as Black–Scholes prices for Nifty options, to explain how a strategy works. They are not live prices, forecasts or recommendations. Screens of the QuantPower platform are illustrations with sample data; menus, layouts and figures in the live platform may differ. Our editorial policy explains how we write and check these pages.
8. Third-party data and charts
Prices, charts and account data come from brokers, exchanges and data providers. They may be delayed, incomplete or wrong. QuantPower is not responsible for errors or outages at brokers, exchanges, data providers or internet services.
Charts in QuantPower are Arth.live charts, drawn by Arth.live, our own chart library, from broker and exchange data. Chart tools and indicators are for analysis; a signal on a chart is not a recommendation to trade.
9. Awards, comparisons and testimonials
Awards and media coverage refer to the platform, not to trading results. Comparisons with other platforms use information those providers publish, checked on the date shown on each page; their prices and features can change. Testimonials, if any, are not representative of all users and do not guarantee future performance.
10. Liability and external links
To the extent the law allows, QuantPower, its owners, partners and employees are not responsible for any loss or damage arising from use of the platform, software or strategies. Our terms of use set out the limits of our liability. Nothing in this disclaimer limits any right you have that cannot be limited under Indian law.
Links to other websites are for convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content.

Frequently asked questions
Is anything on QuantPower investment advice?
No. QuantPower is software. Templates, guides, calculators and examples explain how the tools work; you decide what to trade.
Do backtest results show what a strategy will earn?
No. A backtest shows how your rules would have behaved on past data, with hindsight and assumed fills. Live results can be much worse.
Are worked examples on this website real trades?
No. They use model prices, such as Black–Scholes prices for Nifty options, to explain how a strategy works. They are not live prices or recommendations.
Are the P&L figures in QuantPower final?
No. Your broker's contract notes and statements are the final record of your trades and charges.
Do awards mean a strategy will perform well?
No. Awards and media coverage refer to the platform. They say nothing about the results of any strategy.
