How to connect Zerodha
- In QuantPower, open broker settings and choose Zerodha.
- Log in on Zerodha's page with your credentials and two-factor code.
- Approve QuantPower's access.
- Check that your funds and positions appear in QuantPower.
- Run your first strategy in paper trading before you deploy it live.
Every trading day

What QuantPower can and cannot do
| QuantPower can | QuantPower cannot |
|---|---|
| See your funds, holdings, positions and orders | Withdraw money from your Zerodha account |
| Place, modify and cancel orders for your strategies | Change your bank account, address or nominee |
| Exit positions when your MTM stop loss is hit | See the password you type on Zerodha's page |
You build your own strategies in QuantPower, or start from a ready-made template such as a straddle or an iron fly and edit it, and QuantPower sends the orders to your Zerodha account through Kite Connect, Zerodha's official API. Read more about connection security.
Things to know about Zerodha
- Order types: Zerodha does not accept SL-M orders in index options, because NSE discontinued them in options in 2021, and blocks market orders in stock options and in some index option contracts, such as far expiries and deep in-the-money strikes. Build Zerodha strategies with limit and stop-loss limit orders. Our guide to order types explains how.
- Streak and Sensibull: Zerodha users also get Streak and Sensibull free. You can keep using them alongside QuantPower on the same account, as long as two platforms never trade the same signal. See Streak vs QuantPower and Sensibull vs QuantPower.
- Daily login: you log in with your Kite user ID, password and two-factor code each trading day.
Strategies to start with
- Short straddle on Nifty, with per-leg stop losses
- Iron condor for defined-risk premium selling
- Opening range breakout for intraday momentum
- Nifty options strategies for weekly expiries

Frequently asked questions
Does QuantPower see my Zerodha password?
No. You type it on Zerodha's own login page. QuantPower receives and stores only an access token for the day's session.
Do I need a static IP?
Yes. SEBI's rules require API orders to come from a static IP registered with your broker. For Zerodha, you add it in your Kite Connect developer account. QuantPower runs on your own computer or VPS with that IP, so your orders go out with your own API key from it. Keep that computer or VPS on and logged in to Zerodha during market hours.
Do I have to pay Zerodha for market data?
Yes. The Standard plan is free during the Beta; see pricing for each plan's daily allowances. Zerodha credits the next month's fee to users who generate ₹2,000 or more in brokerage in a month, from October 2026.
What if the Zerodha login fails?
Check that your phone's clock is on automatic time for two-factor codes, and that pop-ups are allowed for quantpower.tech. Our troubleshooting guide covers other problems.
Can I use QuantPower and Streak on the same Zerodha account?
Yes. Make sure the two platforms do not run the same strategy, or your positions will double.
Why was my Zerodha market order rejected?
Zerodha blocks market orders in stock options and in some index option contracts. Use a limit order priced near the best bid or ask.
