Streak vs QuantPower

This Streak vs QuantPower comparison is for traders who want to build strategies without writing code. Streak is Zerodha's platform for strategies and scanners built from technical indicators, and it is free for Zerodha users. QuantPower focuses on options strategies, works with several brokers, and can place orders from your own rules through your broker's official API.

Evaluate QuantPower

  • Orders from your own rules. Algo bots place and exit trades through your broker's API, in Automatic mode once enabled, or with one-touch Confirmation when selected.
  • Options strategies. The strategy builder is built around options positions with one or more legs, such as straddles and iron condors.
  • Final strategy allowance. The Standard plan is free during the Beta; see pricing for each plan's daily allowances.
  • Choice of broker. Check the Available-only broker list for your release.
  • Signals and a stop loss on the whole position. Indicator alerts, such as TradingView alerts, can place orders, and the MTM stop loss exits when the combined profit or loss of your positions reaches your limit.

Evaluate Streak

  • Free for Zerodha users. There is no subscription, with five live and 15 virtual deployments at a time.
  • Indicator strategies and scanners. More than 150 pre-built strategies and more than 250 pre-built scanners that you can copy, edit or build from scratch.
  • Part of Zerodha's own products. You log in with your Kite credentials and act on scanner results in Kite.
  • You approve every order. Each trade waits for your confirmation, which suits traders who want the final say.
Key point
Streak suits Zerodha users who trade indicator-based setups and are happy to confirm each order themselves. QuantPower suits options traders who want their own rules to place and exit trades, on Zerodha or another broker, for a monthly fee.

Pricing

Streak has been free for Zerodha users since 17 January 2024, when Zerodha opened it to all its customers. Its older paid platform stopped taking new subscriptions in 2024, and Streak's team said it would be phased out. Some limits remain. In replies on Zerodha's announcement, Streak's team gave them as five live deployments at a time (confirmed again in May 2025), 15 virtual deployments and five live scanners.

QuantPower has three monthly plans:

PlanMonthly priceMain features
StandardProposed ₹299, GST extraFinal allowance pending; see pricing
ProfessionalProposed ₹499, GST extraFinal allowance pending; see pricing
UltimateProposed ₹999, GST extraFinal allowance pending; see pricing

QuantPower prices exclude GST. Yearly billing is also offered, and there is a free trial.

The QuantPower Standard plan is free during the Beta (₹299/month after); Professional is ₹499/month and Ultimate ₹999/month, GST extra. See pricing. From October 2026, Zerodha credits the next month's fee to users whose brokerage reaches ₹2,000 in a month. So the real comparison for a Zerodha user is Streak at no cost against a QuantPower plan plus the Kite Connect fee.

How orders are placed

This is the biggest practical difference between the two.

Streak. In a 2024 reply on Zerodha's announcement, Streak's team said that, in line with regulatory guidelines, Streak does not place orders automatically, and in January 2026 it said automated execution was still not supported. When your conditions are met, it sends a notification with the order already filled in, and you confirm each buy or sell. You stay in the loop for every trade, which some traders prefer.

QuantPower. Your strategy's rules place and exit orders as an algo bot. Orders go from your own broker account through the broker's official API, using your own API key, from a static IP registered with your broker, after your daily broker login with two-factor authentication. Self-built strategies stay within SEBI's order-rate limit for them, fewer than 10 orders a second. Your funds and securities stay with your broker. QuantPower is software, not a broker or an adviser, and it gives no tips or calls.

Strategy building compared

Streak is built around technical indicators. You set entry and exit conditions from indicators on a chosen timeframe, backtest them, and deploy them live or virtually. Its scanners search for instruments that meet your conditions, and you can act on the results in Kite.

QuantPower's strategy builder is built around options positions. You choose the legs, strikes and expiry, then add entry, exit and stop rules for the whole position. Signal trading covers the indicator side: an alert from your own indicator can place the order. The MTM stop loss then watches the combined profit or loss of every open position, not just one strategy.

Moving a strategy from Streak

  1. Note the rules. Entry and exit conditions, instrument, timeframe and position size.
  2. Connect your broker. Create your own API key and register a static IP with your broker. Zerodha users do this in their Kite Connect developer account; the Zerodha algo trading guide has the steps.
  3. Rebuild the rules in the strategy builder.
  4. Backtest them and compare the results with Streak's backtest.
  5. Paper trade for a few weeks on live prices.
  6. Stop the Streak deployment before the QuantPower one goes live, so the same signal does not trade twice.
