Prices do not update
Live prices in QuantPower come from your connected broker account, so check the broker connection first.
| Check | What to do |
|---|---|
| Broker session | Sessions end before each trading day. Log in to your broker again from QuantPower |
| Zerodha data subscription | Zerodha needs an active Kite Connect subscription (₹500 a month) for live prices |
| Market hours | Equity trades from 9:15 to 15:30 and F&O until 15:40. Outside these hours, prices do not change |
| Holiday | Check the exchange holiday list and the F&O expiry calendar |
| Broker outage | Check your broker's app or status page. The QuantPower status page lists known problems |
Charts are blank or slow
- Reload the page.
- Use a current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari.
- Turn off extensions that block scripts, then try again.
- Reduce the number of charts or indicators on screen.
- Check that the instrument has not expired. An expired contract shows no new candles.
Candles differ from another platform
Small differences are normal. The usual causes are:
- Data source: prices come from your broker's feed, which can differ slightly from another vendor's.
- Candle times: Indian intraday candles start at 9:15. A platform that starts at 9:00 or uses another time zone groups prices differently.
- Adjustments: daily charts of stocks may or may not be adjusted for splits and bonuses.
- Futures charts: a continuous futures chart joins contracts at rollover; a single contract's chart does not.
Indicators look different
Check the indicator's settings on both platforms: the period, the source (close, or high-low average), and for VWAP, when it resets. A 14-period RSI on 15-minute candles will not match a 14-period RSI on 5-minute candles.
Option chain numbers look wrong
| What you see | Likely reason |
|---|---|
| A strike shows no price | It has not traded today; look at the bid and ask |
| Open interest does not change | Exchanges update open interest at intervals during the day |
| IV is very high on far strikes | Thin trading and wide spreads distort IV on far out-of-the-money options |
| Greeks are missing | They need a valid price; illiquid strikes may not have one |
| Prices frozen near or after the close | Stocks with F&O contracts stop continuous trading at 15:15 for the closing auction, so index values pause until the auction result at about 15:35. After the close, values show the last trade |

Data differs between the app and the web
Both use the same account and broker connection. Refresh both, check you are looking at the same contract and expiry, and check that the phone is connected to the internet.
