Key point
The reports describe what past data shows. They are not forecasts or investment advice, and each one lists its sources with dates.

What the reports are built on

  • SEBI studies and circulars: the regulator's studies of individual traders in equity derivatives, its rules on index derivatives and expiry days, and its 4 February 2025 circular on retail algo trading.
  • Exchange data: NSE turnover data, NSE and BSE expiry-day circulars, India VIX history and NSE Indices factor factsheets.
  • Broker pages: API prices, limits and charges, each with the date it was checked.

Some figures date quickly, such as broker charges and turnover shares. Check the date on a source, and the source itself, before you use a number in a decision.

Frequently asked questions

Do the reports cover only Indian markets?

Yes. All the trading reports and resources here use Indian data and rules: NSE and BSE derivatives, India VIX, NSE factor indices, SEBI's studies and circulars, and the APIs of Indian brokers.

How current are the reports?

Each report dates its sources in the Sources list at the end. Where a newer release has come out since, the newer figure is the one to use.

Where should I start if I am new to algo trading?

Read the guide to algo trading first and keep the glossary open for unfamiliar terms. Then pick one simple rule from the strategy guides and test it on past data before you risk money.

Can I suggest a topic for a report?

Yes. Write to info@quantpower.tech with the question you want answered and any data source you know of.
